Raqui Washington is a multidisciplinary artist and muralist whose work celebrates nature, people, and everyday beauty through vibrant color and layered taxtures.

Her creative journey began at the age of nine when a classroom art project revealed a natural gift for drawing. What started as a childhood discovery quickly grew into a lifelong calling.

She later studied photography in art school, where she developed a deeper understanding of light, composition, movement, and emotion—elements that continue to influence her visual storytelling today.

Working primarily with acrylic and latex paints, her work blends semi-realism with abstract elements. She layers color and texture to create pieces that feel alive and reward viewers whether seen from across the street or up close.

Today, much of her creative energy is focused on murals and fine art paintings, allowing her to bring bold ideas to life on a larger scale.

Through her work, she aims to transform everyday spaces into vibrant visual experiences that inspire curiosity and connection.

Based in Atlanta and available for mural projects, commissions, and creative collaborations.

My Mural Process

A young artist painting a colorful mural on a brick wall outside. She is kneeling on a black platform, holding a tablet, and using a small brush to add details to the mural.

Each mural begins with understanding the space and the story it can tell. I start with concept sketches and color studies, working closely with the client to refine the design before bringing it to life on the wall. My goal is to create artwork that not only enhances the space visually but also connects with the people who experience it every day.

I work with:

  • Businesses and storefronts

  • Community organizations

  • Public art programs

  • Schools and universities

  • Private collectors
